To further commemorate our 40th anniversary, two Pigs were invited earlier in the month to appear on Nick Girdler’s bright and breezy Sunday morning Radio Solent show.
Always up for a chat, Chair Pig Phil Withington-Smith, along with publicity officer, David Learmonth headed off to the BBC studios in Southampton and had a good chin-wag with our friendly local DJ.
Commenting on his 15 minutes of fame (or was it 25 minutes?) Phil was heard to say that he won’t be giving up his day job, but did enjoy doing what he does best – talking about the Pigs and about our 40-year history, helping those in our town who are less fortunate than ourselves.
Nice one Phil – Newsnight next?!
